With Répercussions
Mamady moved to Belgium to 1988. At first he worked with Zig-Zag (a non-profit organization) before creating his own percussion school, which has enjoyed international success. He also started two music groups at this time.
With Zig-Zag, from 1988 to 1991
In 1988, Mamady moved to Belgium and opened with Zig-Zag (organizer of "Couleur Café" festival) « Répercussions », the European school of rhythm and percussion.
There he taught Manding rhythms at the beginner and advanced levels and created the first Rhythm Pyramid in Belgium.
He gave many workshops at all levels on djembe, dundun, and krin, and he accompanied African dance workshops.

In 1988-1989, so as not to lose touch with the music scene, he formed a group aimed first at playing traditional Manding music and with which he could later play his own compositions.

This proverb provided him with the name, « Sewa Kan », which means, thesound of joy#146;. Mamady would provide the arrangements and the musical compositions.
The group performed numerous concerts: Halles de Schaerbeek, Old Belgium, the Boistfort Festival of Flowers, the Summer Festival at the Botanical Garden, the International Convention at Digne in France.
